Slate Mounted Tile Art
I get the colours, atmosphere and texture from my local landscape and the cosy cottages (But’n’Bens) that inhabit it. I live at the foot of some of Scotland’s most beautiful glens, each one with it’s fair share of cottages and highland landscapes to be inspired by. I like to focus on the colours and texture of the landscape when creating my works, often incorporating a wee white cottage to draw the eye. The glossy ceramic art tiles work beautifully with the bold slate surrounding.
